  10. TEXTOUT/5 converts WordPerfect 5.0 and 5.1 document files to ASCII.  It 
  11. improves upon WordPerfect's Text Out command, in both the DOS Text and  
  12. generic word processing formats.  TEXTOUT/5 translates the entire       
  13. document, including text, captions and equations from graphics boxes, as
  14. well as footnotes and endnotes - all items that WordPerfect ignores.    
  15. TEXTOUT/5 can mark certain font attributes, such as underlining, in the 
  16. ASCII file by using special characters.  This is useful if you want to  
  17. transfer the ASCII file to another word processor and restore the       
  18. attributes.

  24. CONVDW converts IBM DisplayWrite 3 & 4 document files to ASCII.  IBM    
  25. does not publish the file format for DisplayWrite, so CONVDW is one of  
  26. very few programs that can read DisplayWrite files.  CONVDW can create  
  27. files that omit the soft returns and retain the tab characters.  This   
  28. format, which is very useful for importing to another word processor,   
  29. is not available from within DisplayWrite.  CONVDW omits most page      
  30. formatting characteristics.  For example, the left margin is not        
  31. expanded to spaces, the top and bottom margins are not expanded to blank
  32. lines, and page breaks, headers, footers, and page numbering are        
  33. omitted.

  39. TEXTCON gives you the ability to import ASCII files into your word      
  40. processor without having to manually delete carriage returns, remove    
  41. extra spaces, and generally reformat your documents.  Files can be      
  42. imported with correct paragraph breaks due to TEXTCON's intelligent     
  43. paragraph recognition algorithms.  No more manual deletion of hard      
  44. returns.  TEXTCON even works with difficult formats, such as fully      
  45. nested, outline style and hanging indents.  TEXTCON also removes excess 
  46. spaces, blank lines, and headers and footers.  TEXTCON can accept any   
  47. form of ASCII file, including those transferred from Macintosh or UNIX, 
  48. as well as WordStar.
